Children do not create accounts and do not directly provide personal information to Kiddometer. All child profile data is entered by the parent or guardian.

A. Information You Provide Directly (Parent/Guardian Account Holders)
• Account Data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password.
• Child Profile Data: When you add a child profile, we collect the child’s first name or nickname, grade level, and optional age or avatar selection. We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information from or about children.
• Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are provided directly to Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
• Communications: If you contact us by email, we collect your name, email address, and message content.
B. Information Collected Automatically
• Usage Data: We automatically log information about your visit, including IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and timestamps. This helps us operate and improve the Service.
• Quiz Activity Data: We collect quiz attempt data associated with child profiles, including scores, XP earned, achievements, streaks, and level progression. This data is linked to the parent account, not to any personally identifiable information about the child.
• Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies to keep you logged in and remember preferences. You may disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not function correctly.
• Analytics: We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service. Analytics data is aggregated and used to improve features and content.
C. Affiliate Link Activity
When you click affiliate links on the Service (such as Amazon product links, hotel links, or tour links), you are directed to third-party websites that have their own privacy practices. We may receive aggregate referral data (such as whether a purchase was made), but we do not receive your personal payment or shipping information from those third parties.

• To provide and manage your account and child profiles.
• To operate the reading quiz platform and track quiz progress, XP, achievements, and streaks for child profiles.
• To generate AI-powered travel guides, resort recommendations, and other content you request.

• To improve the Service through usage analysis and feature development.
• To detect fraud, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
4. Children’s Privacy and COPPA Compliance
Kiddometer complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).
• We do not collect personal information directly from children under 13.
• Child profiles are created solely by parents or guardians and contain only a name (first name or nickname), grade level, optional age, and avatar — no contact information.
• Quiz activity data (scores, XP, achievements) is associated with the child profile and is accessible only to the parent account holder.
• We do not use child profile data for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
• Parents may review, update, or delete their child’s profile and all associated data at any time through account settings or by contacting [email protected].
• If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
5. AI Content and Data Privacy
• Prompts and inputs you submit to generate AI guides or other AI content are used solely to produce that content for you.
• We do not use your prompts or generated content to train AI models.
• We may temporarily log queries for security and troubleshooting and anonymize or delete this data regularly.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:
• Service Providers: We share information with third-party providers who help us operate the Service, such as Stripe (payment processing) and analytics providers. These providers are contractually required to protect your data.

• Child Profile Management: You may add, edit, or delete child profiles and their associated quiz data at any time through your account.

• Opt-Out of Analytics: You may opt out of certain analytics tracking through your browser or device settings.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites and encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.
